Website Design Cost in the UAE: What Sets the Price in 2026

Web design wireframes, colour swatches and code on a laptop

The website design cost in the UAE comes down to five things: how many pages and languages you need, custom design or a template, the features you want (bookings, payments, integrations), who produces the content, and the running costs after launch. As a rough guide, price guides published by UAE agencies in 2026 start below AED 1,000 for a small template website, sit at roughly AED 5,000 to AED 25,000 for a custom business website, and run from about AED 15,000 to well over AED 100,000 for custom online stores and platforms. Treat these as approximate market ranges, not fixed prices. The only number that really matters is the one in a written, itemised quote.

Approximate website prices in the UAE (2026)

The table below summarises price guides that several UAE agencies have published this year. The ranges overlap because every agency defines a “basic” or “corporate” website differently, so use them to sense-check a quote, not as a price list.

Website type What you usually get Approximate range (AED)
Template or starter site A few pages (often up to five) on a ready-made theme, a contact form and a WhatsApp button From under 1,000 to about 5,000
Custom business website Design based on your brand, a content management system and the core pages a business needs About 5,000 to 25,000
Corporate website More pages, two languages, integrations and stronger brand work About 25,000 to 60,000
Online store Products, payments, delivery and order tracking Template packages from a few thousand; custom stores about 15,000 to 100,000+
Custom platform or web app Portals, marketplaces and bespoke features About 50,000 and above

All figures are approximate and based on publicly available agency price guides. They are not Athar’s prices.

What drives the price of a website

1. Scope: pages, languages and structure

Every page has to be planned, designed, built, filled with content and tested, so the page count matters. Languages matter even more in the UAE. An Arabic and English website is not one site with a translation pasted in: Arabic needs a right-to-left layout, typography that stays readable on a phone, and its own SEO titles and descriptions. Done properly, a bilingual site is close to building the interface twice, and an honest quote reflects that.

2. Custom design or a template

A template is faster and cheaper because the layout already exists; you mostly swap colours, images and text. Custom design starts from your brand and your customer’s journey: wireframes, desktop and mobile designs, then development. It costs more, but it is the difference between a site that looks like everyone else’s and one that matches your visual identity and is built to turn visitors into enquiries.

3. Features and integrations

Features are where quotes jump. Online booking, payment gateways, multi-currency prices, delivery zones, CRM or ERP connections, member areas and custom calculators each add design, development and testing time. Ask for every feature to appear as its own line, so you can decide what is essential at launch and what can wait for a second phase.

4. Content: copy, photos and video

Many quotes assume you will supply all the text and images. If you need copywriting in two languages, product photography or a brand video, that is real production work and should be priced separately. Strong content is often what makes a website sell, so plan for it from day one instead of treating it as an extra.

5. Speed, SEO and tracking foundations

A website that loads slowly on mobile or never appears on Google costs you customers every month. A good build includes a clean page structure, one clear H1 per page, compressed images, meta titles and descriptions, an XML sitemap and analytics with conversion tracking. Some agencies include this in the build; others sell it later as SEO services. Check which one you are being offered.

Running costs people forget

The launch price is only part of the total cost of a website. Plan for:

  • Domain name, renewed every year.
  • Hosting and SSL, from shared hosting to managed cloud servers.
  • Licences for premium themes and plugins, or a platform subscription such as Shopify.
  • Maintenance: software updates, security monitoring and backups.
  • Updates and marketing: new pages, seasonal offers, SEO and ads.

One published UAE guide estimates domain, SSL, hosting and licences at roughly AED 1,000 to AED 5,000 a year, depending on the setup. Treat that as an approximate figure too: your real number depends on your traffic, your platform and the level of support you want.

Why two quotes for the “same” website look so different

If one agency quotes a few thousand dirhams and another quotes several times that, they are rarely quoting the same thing. The cheaper quote may use a template, assume you supply every word and photo, cover one language and stop at launch day. The higher one may include strategy, custom design, bilingual content, SEO setup, training and support. Neither is automatically wrong. The real risk is comparing two headline numbers without seeing what sits inside them.

Watch for these warning signs:

  • One total price with no list of pages or features.
  • No mention of who owns the domain, the hosting account and the website files.
  • No timeline or milestones.
  • Nothing about support after launch.

If you plan to sell online, the platform choice also changes the budget. Our guide to Shopify vs WooCommerce for a UAE store explains the trade-off between monthly fees and ownership.

How to get an accurate quote

You will get faster and more accurate pricing if you send this before the first call:

  1. Your main goal: leads, bookings, online sales or credibility with partners.
  2. The pages you think you need, and the languages.
  3. Two or three websites you like, and what exactly you like about them.
  4. The features you must have at launch.
  5. Whether your logo, brand colours, text and photos are ready.
  6. Your launch date and an honest budget range.

Sharing a budget range is not a weakness. It lets the agency propose the best scope for that budget instead of guessing, and it saves both sides a round of revisions.
